This atmosphere is what we have recreated in the Deluxe Natura Suite, our humble tribute to nature. Ripoll, because of its orographic situation and topography, is synonymous with nature. We see it in the colour of our forests, in the smell of our flowers, in the song of the birds, in the temperature of the water or in the taste of our herbs.
There is one element that tells part of Ripoll’s history: iron. The tradition of the forge in the capital of Ripollès is evident in several buildings: the Plaça de la Lira, the Farga Palau… And even a very popular route in our area: the Iron and Coal Route, the route that the train used to take to transport these materials to different parts of the province. We celebrate the industrial past that has brought us to where we are, and we do it with this room.
Wood is one of the most important elements of our forests. In winter, on cold days, to keep us warm by feeding the fireplaces; in summer, to be able to walk under the trees that give us shelter in the hot hours. This element has given a roof to many of our houses: doors, windows…
The warmth and tenderness that this element transmits to us can be found in this room, where the most outstanding detail is the wood.
Stone is an important element in the villages of Ripollès: castles, churches and bridges are all made of stone, and have stood the test of time. And in our village there is also a monument made of stone, a UNESCO candidate, that we cannot forget: the Portalada of the Monastery of Santa Maria. It is our jewel in the crown, cut, in a very precise way, in stone. And we have given it the recognition it deserves.
